Hi everybody! I know I'm a few days late on this post, which is completely my fault. I had planned to write another post about my journey like I said I was going to, but God had other plans. So there was a little bit of a debate between Him and I. Guess who won that one?
Anyway, this would have been something I wrote about at a later time. But for a reason only He knows, I think somebody needs this message now.
Along with getting control of our thoughts we also need to be studying Gods Word everyday. Doing it first thing in the morning gives you all day to reflect on what you read, but another time may be better for you. After 2 1/2 years of doing my Bible study I refuse to start my day any other way.
Now some of you may think that it's enough to just believe in God, but it's not. How can you believe in something or someone you don't even know?
Yes I know you have to have faith, but the only way you can really believe in God is to get to know Him on a personal level. And the only way to do that is to read and study your Bible. It tells you everything you will ever need to know about God, and all of the promises He has for you, if you are obedient to His Word.
When I started my Bible study I probably did it aimlessly for 6-9 months. I just knew that this was my next step in my journey and I had to keep doing it in order to see results. After awhile I began to implement His Word in every area of my life and not confining Him to that 1 hour of study time.
I stopped watching TV shows that weren't in line with His Word and I stopped listening to music that went against it to.
See, it's not okay to say you believe, and expect Him to do for you, when you can't set time aside for Him or stop acting in ways that go against what He wants in our lives. We have to stop doing things just because they're around us everyday and because the world thinks they're okay.
We have to grow enough, through His Word, to say no to the way of the world and start saying yes to the way of God. And again, you won't know that way if you don't know what His Word says about it.
The Bible is our handbook for everything we will ever experience in this life. He tells us how to love others, raise our children, be good Christians, and how to receive all of the blessings He has for us.
With the way the world is right now, He even shows us how we can change it and how we don't have to live according to the world. Because He is bigger than the world and He isn't affected by the economy or the job situation. He's God! He can do anything, which is where faith and knowledge of the Bible comes in handy.
The verses He has shown me for this posting are from Philippians. If you have a Bible look up Philippians 4:6-13.This is where, if you are getting control of your thoughts, you can put it to use.
You have to treat God as a real person in your life. Someone who wants to be everything for you. A Father, a Friend, a Companion, and anything else you may need. He's with you always and He's just waiting for you to come to Him in the good times and the bad. Just don't forget Him in the in-between times, because He's there too.
I can promise you that if you give Him a chance, He will show Himself to you. And if you've been struggling in your life like I was, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. So start working your schedule around God. He needs to come first. If you do that He will make sure that you have more than enough time left to do what you need to do.
We take the time to plan so many things in our lives, like vacations or going out to dinner. Isn't God more important? He should be the One thing that we plan to spend time with before all else.
So if you decide to pick up your Bible, I suggest, as somebody did for me, that you start with the New Testament. I believe if you do that you will start living the life He's had just waiting for you and you'll wonder how you did it without Him all this time.
They say you develop a new habit in 28 days. So set some time aside for Bible study each day and you can find a study program that works for you online. Do it for a month and see what happens. It may not be what you expected, but it will be something He planned.
Everyday that goes by, you maybe filled with worry, stress, or anxiety. Give God a chance to help; pick up your Bible and watch your life begin to change.

The 2 Keys To True Freedom!
I'm excited about this week because I have so much to share with all of you! As I said last week, these next few weeks are going to be about the things that I have learned about myself, about God, and how we can change our lives.
I know that the tools that the Lord gave me won't work the same way for any of you because the Lord has a different journey for each one of us. But you may be able to get something, that I didn't out of the very things that I used.
As you set out to get control of your thoughts and your life, don't be in a hurry. We spend way too much time rushing around trying to figure things out and trying to keep up with the world. And it's in that rush, that we miss some of the most important things.
Set about everyday as a new chance to gain control of the random thoughts that come into your mind and getting them under control. Again, the more you make yourself aware of them, the easier it gets. Do whatever works for you to replace them with positive affirmations. Whether they're Bible verses or positive attributes about yourself. There is no wrong way to do this!
Now while you are working on that I want to give you the second tip that will help you on your journey and will heighten your awareness that there is a God, and He is in control.
If you're one of those people that finds yourself in situations where you say,"What a coincidence," stop saying that! There is no such thing!
Every step you take, place you go, and person that you meet, is all part of God's plan. And, again, if you're not aware, then you may miss the biggest opportunity of your life and never even realize it.
If your remove the word "coincidence" from your life and treat these occasions like doors being opened by none other that God Himself, you will begin to see something AMAZING! He is at work in your life everyday, everywhere!
Look at the people you meet and the places you end up by coincidence as things that were supposed to happen. People you were supposed to meet at that particular time and places that you were sent to for a reason.
Ask yourself if that person maybe needs your help, or the place that you ended up in kept something bad from happening to you. Or the many other questions that you can think of that may apply to the situation at the time. It may even be something so important that God lets you know, without a doubt, why you're there.
Just pay attention to those thoughts that keep coming up that are maybe telling you to do something that you've been putting off. Those are the thoughts that you need to pay attention to.
A good example is my writing this blog entry. I knew it was something that I was supposed to do along with an email I've been meaning to write to a friend. But I kept putting it off until God just wouldn't leave me alone until I did it.
I was doing some work, that I thought was more important, but my mind kept going back to this and the email. It got to the point that it was pretty clear what He wanted me to do. So I stopped what I was doing and after I get done with this, I will be sending that email. And only then will He let me focus on my work.
So until next time remember these 2 key things: Focus on your thoughts and there is no such thing as a coincidence. We will meet back here in a week for the next few steps you can take to gain insight into your life. And until then, if you know anybody who can use this wonderful knowledge that the Lord has blessed me with, please share this with them. I would live to have more readers:)
Thanks again for all of you that take the time to read my blog. See you soon!

"My Journey"
Hi everybody! I'm hoping that this New Year has been a blessed one so far for all of you who take the time to read my blog.
I thought that it was about time that I get back to regularly doing what I enjoy most, and that is trying to help others. So I will be doing weekly posts for March and April, and possibly more than that.
The Lord has put on my heart that I need to share my story of some things that I've learned and experienced over the past few years. All of which led me to where I am right now.
As you can see, in the title, these postings will all be about my journey. A journey of forgiveness, love, generosity, salvation, and many other things. Some more painful than others. But some that have been so amazing, that I hope I can find the words to describe them.
This venture will be a partnership between myself and my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Because without His presence in my life, I could do nothing successfully.
Just a glimpse of what's to come is this: Several years ago my oldest daughter, Lacey, told me about this DVD she watched called "The Secret." So I bought the book and read it.
Little did I know that the Lord had already started working in my life and had conveniently placed this book in my hands.
That was one of the first life-changing experiences that I would have on my journey.
It wasn't too long after that, that I decided to start writing a newsletter about how, despite the negative things that were happening in the world, there were some awe-inspiring things taking place as well.
So I began to write about some of my own personal observations of God's goodness, that I thought could help others through the tough times.
Now here's the best part. For those of you who really know me, you know that my OCD is a joke in my family; especially with my kids.
How could I write this newsletter without a good title? Not just any title; the perfect title. That, of course, wouldn't be and easy thing for me.
After many different ideas, the one name that kept coming up was "The Good News." And since that was the focus of my newsletter, it seemed like a good fit.
Now, fast-forward to October 2009.
The Lord kept working on me to start studying His Word. So I bought a simple book called,"How To Study The Bible For Yourself," by Tim Lahaye.
I was shocked when, within the first week of my Bible study, this name kept coming up, over and over again. The name was the Good News! Which I learned was another name for the Gospel.
I'd never read the Bible, let alone study it. But considering how I kept coming back to that name, I just knew that it was God speaking to me.
This, my friends, was only the beginning of my relationship with the Lord. To this day, He is my Strength and I know He has a purpose for my life, so great, that I never could have imagined!
The Good News? He's offering all of you the same thing. All you have to do is accept it and accept Him. Then study His Word so you know what else He has for you.
This was the beginning of a major life-change for me, and just the first leg of my journey.

Being Thankful In All Things!
I was going to write this closer to Thanksgiving, but God had other ideas. It's important that I do it now, given some things that I've been dealing with.
I was just sitting outside thinking about how, if I started counting my blessings now, I would still be doing that on Thanksgiving Day. Because they are too numerous to count.
This is what came to my mind: If I wake up in the morning, that means Go blessed me with rest, a place to sleep, and a room to sleep in. If I get up and take a shower, He blessed me with running water and a bathroom. If I can fix my coffee, He blessed me with electricity and a kitchen. And when I can sit down, rested, clean, and with a hot drink and do my Bible study, that means I can walk, read, and write.
Now keep in mind that this all happens in less than 10 hours. I still have 14 hours to realize what I've been blessed with!
The most important thing of all, is that when you read this you will know that I have been blessed with a great family.
Sometimes we all get caught up in the craziness of life and the way the world thinks that we should live it, and we forget to, "Be still." Then we wonder why things aren't working out or going our way.
So take a minute to stop and think about what God has blessed you with this holiday season. Just going through one day and noticing everything that happened will amaze you! Don't sweat the small stuff, but pay attention to it. Because sometimes those are the greatest blessings we get.
So I pray that all of you have a Happy, Safe, & Blessed Thanksgiving!
Love to you all!

No Condemnation
Over the past few months, as I progress into the next phase of my life, I have seen, heard, and personally experienced condemnation. This has become a huge problem in the world today.
As individuals in this world, we can take a stand, obey God, and put an end to this once and for all!
Matthew 7:1-3 says: Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye?
None of us have the right to judge anyone, for any reason. Just because someone is "different" from us in some way, doesn't change the fact that God loves them, so we should too.
He created us all with a specific purpose for our lives and the abilities to fulfill that purpose. He made us different, and God doesn't make mistakes.
So, no body shape or size, skin or eye color, hair style, way they dress, religion they practice, or whether they're rich or poor, makes no difference. We are all God's unique creations. We are all different, and we are all loved by Him.
John 15-12 says: This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
I Corinthians 13-13 says: And now abide faith, hope, and love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
Now I can go on with the Bible verses that speak about the importance of not judging others, but loving them instead, but I think you get my point.
Let's all get busy and do our best to welcome people, instead of judging or condemning them. Let the way you live your life, make a difference in the life of others. Together we can change the world one life at a time.

Just Look Around
Hi everybody! Hope you are all having a great day today.I am writing you today, to tell you about some things that have been going on, that I feel are important.
Over the past few months, as I continue my daily Bible study, the Lord has made me personally aware, of things, in my community, that need to be changed. They are things that, right now, really have no effect on my life, and that I could easily say, are not my problem.
I am someone who, tends to look at the details, of any given situation. So, I feel that the Lord has given me that ability, in order to make a difference in the lives of other people. We aren't just here to take up space; we are here to make a difference in this world, and in the lives of other people.
Instead of isolating ourselves, with the division of ethnicity, religion, or political party, we need to drop, the walls that we have put up, and do something for someone else.
What we do, will be different, for each individual person, based on the talent, or talents, that the Lord has blessed us with.
For me, after a lot of praying, I realized that, I was thinking about children, who come from single-parent homes; whose parents got sick, or lost their jobs, or their homes. Going to school, as a child, without those things, is hard enough. So, I began to realize different ways that I felt like I could make a difference.
If you pray about anything, and you learn to look for Gods answer; He will never let you down. It could be anything from a news story, to a magazine article, to a billboard. Sometimes obvious, sometimes not so obvious. But always there.
So, my mission, is to help kids, in school. I don't think that any child should have to go to school without the basic school supplies. These children are, at some point, going to be in charge of my future interests. I want them to be educated!
It is not for me to judge their parents, or their living situation. My focus is on what they need, while they are in school.
I have become a very thrifty shopper, and I won't pay full price, for anything. I don't look at my financial situation and think about what I can't do, or shouldn't do. I look at what I can do, with what I am blessed with, and have faith, that God will provide me with what I need, to do more.
I found out what the immediate needs were in one of the local elementary schools, and started there. Now every time I go into a store that still has cheap supplies; I buy more.
The one thing that the schools need, more than anything else, is pencils. Have any of you looked at the price of pencils lately? They are so cheap! But to these kids and the teachers, they are like gold.
Instead of blaming someone for taking money from the schools, or not giving them enough; Do something!! Close your mouth and open your wallet, and buy a box of pencils! Or ask God what He wants you to do. It maybe something for children, or it may not. But we have to do something, lest we do nothing.
We are supposed to trust God with all that we have. Not everything but our money. Even if you tithe, you can and should do more. And trust me when I say, if you don't, He will let you know.
It costs nothing to smile at someone; to open a door; to pick up something for someone. If you miss those opportunities, you are missing out on things that really make a difference, in your life, and the lives of others.
Go out today, with an open heart and an open mind, and look for people to help. They are everywhere! We are not going to be led to do things that are easy, or comfortable. But they are things that we need to be doing, in faith. Faith that, at that specific moment, with that specific person, in that specific situation, we are supposed to help. And at the end of the day, as you reflect over what you have done, the joy and satisfaction will be so overwhelming, that you will look for more ways to make a difference.
Then, your God given journey begins.

We are all responsible!
Hi everybody! I hope you are all having a good Memorial Day, and remembering all of the good men and women; Republicans and Democrats; blacks and whites; Catholics, and Mennonites, that have previously, or are currently serving our country.
You may wonder why I worded that the way that I did. Well, don't worry, because I am going to tell you.
This is to all of you, who think that you have a right to tell others how to live their lives, and judge or criticize them, because they don't agree with you. The brave soldiers have always fought for our freedom, not your opinion.
I personally identify with none of the categories, that so many of us like to put people in. I am an American, who chooses to believe the word of God, and attend a Baptist Church. My favorite color is purple; my favorite flower is lilac, and my favorite musical artists are, Rascal Flatts and Josh Wilson. I don't identify myself by those labels, and I will never, allow myself to become so narrow-minded in my thinking, that I focus my beliefs on one group of people. I love all people.
The situations that we are all facing these days are things that we, as a country, have brought on ourselves. We all need to take accountability for our part, and stop blaming public officials, past and present, for what we have done. We chose to put Democrats and Republicans, into office, and to not pay more attention to what they were doing.
Now we are blaming President Obama, for trying to fix damage that started decades ago. He has, is,and will make mistakes, as long as he is in office. For those of you who may not know this; the only perfect person, died on the cross.
Instead of arguing and judging each other, for our flaws;we should be working TOGETHER, to solve the problems in our country.
I'm sure that you all remember the earthquakes in Haiti. Well, I have to tell you; when I saw the response to that disaster , I was really angry. I just couldn't understand, how there was almost instant money raising efforts to help them, when we lost so many of our own, during Hurricane Katrina.
I think it was on the 3rd day, that the Lord showed me, the most amazing thing! It was of the Haitian people, having a peaceful march, praising God. It was at that exact moment, that I knew, what God was trying to communicate to all of us.
Instead of having these anti whatever marches, or protests; maybe we need to stop acting ignorant, and instead, work together. We need to accept the fact, that we will never have the government run solely by whatever political party we affiliate ourselves with. Someone is always going to be dissatisfied about something.
We are making choices that are further dividing us, and wondering why our circumstances aren't changing! We have to stop and do a self-assessment on ourselves, before the damage is permanent. Take some time to read the Bible and listen to God. He is and always has been trying to speak to us. Unfortunately, for us, the pursuit of worldly things, has kept Him from reaching us.
It's going to take a long time to fix the damage, that we have caused, to our country. So, why not start today. Stop thinking about yourself and go out and help someone who isn't like you. God blessed you with what you have, so you could help others; not so you could have more than others.
Go outside of your comfort zone, and experience life the way you were meant to. Listen to people you don't agree with, you may actually learn something important about yourself.
Maybe we should be saying, I am an American; what can I do to help my fellow Americans, instead of, I am a Republican or Democrat; how can I insult the other political party today. Both of which, have brought this country to the recession, that we are in. None more so than the other.
What are you going to do today, to make a difference, for someone else? If you do nothing; say nothing.
Just think of how many people we can help, if we ask the Lord, to show us one person, everyday. Get the focus off of yourself, and onto others; it's a great feeling. And, be accountable for yourself, instead of blaming others.
Please make sure you listen to the Josh Wilson song, if you haven't already. What an inspirational song! And I am leaving you with a quote from Andy Stanley. "Direction, not intention, determines destination."

Time For Change
Hi, everybody!!! I bet you thought I had disappeared; it's been so long. Let's just say that I have been dealing with myself a lot lately.
Anyway, I am back and stronger than ever! I am now beginning a new chapter in my life that I am really excited about, and I would like to share it with all of you.
I have decided to start a small charity organization, here in Easley,SC. After months of souls searching and talking to God, this is what I feel I have been led to do. I am calling it Crossroad Charities; unofficially of course.
As a single parent with 4 kids, one of the hardest times for me, was when the school year began. So, that it is where my focus will be. I will be taking clothing donations for school-aged kids.
Going to school and getting an education, should never be difficult on our children. They should be able to go to school, feeling good about themselves, and not having to worry about others making fun of them, because of the way they are dressed.
But then I got to thinking that, if parents can't afford clothes for their kids, then they probably can't afford their own clothes either. So, I decided to ask for adult dress clothes as well. With all of the unemployment in this country, many people need nice clothes for job interviews.
I have been really busy with my church, my own personal Bible study, and taking an evaluation of my own life, for the past few months. This is what I have found to be true in my life, as well as the lives of many others.
After reading Mark13:7-8, I think all of us need to take an evaluation of our own lives, and get right with God, if you haven't already. Read it and re-read it everyday if you have to; just pay attention when you do!
I don't care what religion, political party, ethnicity, or self-division you may associate yourself with, but we all have to pay attention!! The world is changing, and we have to do something in our own lives to get right with ourselves, and whatever God , higher power, or Creator you may believe in.
As long as you believe that there is something greater than yourself, your on the right track.
One thing that we can all do today, is to watch one newscast, and tell me what you see. What I see, is a bunch of grown adults, trying to prove themselves right. Trying to get other people to think like them, act like them and approve of what they are doing.
Newsflash! None of us are right!
We are supposed to help and care for and about others. We are supposed to do what we can, from where we are at in our lives, right now, to find a way to help others.
That is how I got the idea, from the Lord, to do this charity I have started.
I have no money to give, but I do have love in my heart for others, and the experience of not having money for clothes for my kids or myself. So, this is what can do from where I am at, right now.
We are supposed to do things for others, and get our mind off of ourselves, and off of our own lives, so that God can do what He wants to do for us.
But as long as it's all about me, me , me; God can do nothing and will do nothing to change our cicumstances. So you need to start today, looking outside of yourself and your own family, to see what God wants you to do for someone else.
All of your earthly possessions and money mean nothing, unless your are willing to help someone else. And trust me; God can and will take anything you may have, and use it to bless someone else.
We all have something to give. Regardless of the situation we may be in right now. It may not be money or possessions, it may be time or prayer, but we have something! And we need to offer it WITHOUT judgement! We are no better than anyone else; and nobody else is better than us.
Focus on what talent you personally have, that you can use to be a blessing to others. God gave us each a different talent to use in this life. What are you doing with yours? He did not intend for us to keep it for ourselves or for our family. He gave it to us to use for Him,and to do good for others.
What have you done, or will you do today, to help someone else?
This is what I have done, and I still have the rest of the day to do something else.
I will be posting more often from now on, so I will be talking to you all very soon!

Some things should never change.
Hi, everybody!! I know, I know, it's been a few months since my last post, but I've been a little busy. My boys and I recently moved from Conway to Greenville,SC. We went from the awe inspiring ocean, to the awe inspiring mountains.
Thanks to the web and all of it's useful tools, you can take your own virtual tour through Google. The satellite view is nothing, compared to the street view. Check it out, it's absolutely beautiful!
Anyway, I've been doing some soul searching lately, about what my next post would be about. And late last night, it came to me.But before I get to that, I want you all to understand the comparison I am going to use, to get my point across.
I'm sure you all have had the opportunity , at one time or another,to play with a yo-yo. Just be patient, you will understand. When you play with a yo-yo, it starts at one place, and no matter what you want to do with it, the yo-yo always, always, has to go back to the place it started, before you can do anything else.
So with that image in your mind, now I will tell you my story.
There are so many people, places, and things in our life, that distract us from what is really important. Our families, our jobs, our finances, and so on.
But no matter what situation we have to face every morning when our feet first hit the floor, we have to focus on, what we are going to do, to deal with it. What are we going to feel, think, or say, to keep the craziness, from consuming us.
The solution is the same for all of us. We always have to go back to where we started. No matter what it is we have to do, or what it is we have to deal with, we can't do anything, until we go back to where we started. Much like the yo-yo.
That is where, no matter what or who you believe in, you have to go back to that. The beginning of our life on this earth, is what must always be the starting place, for everything.
Just for my reference, my beginning was God. So, when I have anything come across my path, He is what I go back to. I have programmed my life, my thoughts, and my emotions, to always, go back to that place.
It may be hard at first, but once you do it a few times, it becomes second-nature. It becomes a part of your day-to-day life.
This is where my faith solely lies. It doesn't lie in my car, my bank, my job, or any of those things, because God is in control of every one of those things. So I have to put my faith, where it is most important. And as I put my faith in Him, He will deal with the rest of those situations for me. As long as I obey His commandments and His laws, as stated in The Bible, I will receive the blessings, that He has had for me, from before I was ever born.
Have you lost your job; are you stuck in traffic and late for an appointment; have you lost your entire savings, or is your health suffering right now?
Go back to the beginning! Get in a quiet place, where there are no interruptions, and talk to God, and then just listen. He will tell you what, if anything, you are supposed to do or feel, in this moment.
I have certain things placed in key places throughout the house, as reminders. I have my Bible and 3 other inspirational booklets, by my computer. I have several other inspirational books, by my bed. I have a little notebook, with positive quotes, from famous people, next to me, and I have my mp3 player, with songs that I associate with God, and podcasts from Joel Osteen and Joyce Meyer on it.
So no matter where I go or what I do, I always have a reminder, that I have to go back to the beginning, to get my answers, or the comfort I need.
I even write things on colored index cards, so I can take them in my car, as a reminder there too.
My point is, don't ever, ever let yourself get too far from where you came from, and who you really are. Other peoples' opinions of us mean absolutely noting, compared to what our God thinks of us.
He is just waiting to talk to you and bless you, if you just let Him.
And one way I can prove this to you, is this. Continue fo the next week, just as you have been, caught up in the advice the world has to offer. But next week, change where you go for that same advice.
God is communicating to you already, through newspaper headlines, billboards, street signs, and any other way He can. You just have to train yourself to look for the signs. They've been there the whole time, you just haven't been looking in the right place.
Try it. I can guarantee that He won't let you down, and you will see it. It's only 1 week, and it could change the course of your entire life. I know it has changed mine.
All of you are always in my prayers, and I will be talking to you all, very soon.God Bless!

The Good News!
Hey, everybody! It's been awhile, but this will make it worth the wait.
I just got back from Raleigh last night. I took my daughter, Megan, and my grandaughter, Danielle, up to see my sister and my mom. We had a good time with all of them, as we usually do when we go.
On the drive back home, I did a lot of thinking, which is what a long drive is good for. My life has changed incredibly fast over the past few weeks, and so, my perspective has had to change as well.
I, like so many others, got distracted, from the important things in life. I got caught up in the have to, to survive way of thinking, that most of us still believe in. But, it really isn't how any of us have to live. We have the opportunity to change our old way of thinking, for the generations that follow.
One thing that really came to the forefront, are 2 completely different situations, that are affecting my girls. And how through the "old way," of thinking, always comes back to the mistakes that I made as a parent.
Any parent knows that there is no handbook for raising children, because they are all unique. I know I could sit here and blame my mom for the mistakes that she made too, but I choose to take a different approach.
Instead of blaming her for repeatedly making what I prefer to call, errors in judgement, I choose to be grateful instead. Grateful for the fact that she was always there to make a choice.
She never gave up on us, especially me, when things got really bad. Her love never waivered, her faith never stopped, and in the end, she may not have approved of our decisions, but she understood.
She never gave up and walked away, and she will be 75 years old, in a few weeks, and she still hasn't given up. She still doesn't judge, criticize, or hold a grudge, for the choices we are now making as adults. She is my biggest fan, and my best friend. And every time I go to see her, I make it a point to tell her, that she was and is a good mother, and that I know she did the best with what she had.
So if you are critical and have any bad feelings towards either one of your parents, especially your mother, maybe you need to look at it from a different perspective. Parents may not make what we think would be the best choices, but the ones that they did make, were never made to intentionally hurt us. Most parents would do anything to keep their children from harm. Unfortunately, nobody is perfect, so the best of intentions are sometimes wrong.
To live, we absolutely, must forgive! We are hurting no one but ourselves, if we don't. The past has to be put where it belongs, and left there. It is part of our lives that cannot ever be changed, but can be learned from. It can be a useful tool, to not make the same mistakes, over and over again.
If you don't like your life, then only you can change it! It's not your parents fault that you are an addict, your depressed, or angry. Get alone and get with God. He will always be there to show you what it is that you need to forgive, or simply let go of.
Here is a quote from Guy Finley, who is an author I love!
" The first serving of any punishing wish or act towards another always goes to the one who dishes it out."
Wow! If that doesn't sum it all up, I don't know what does.
Let go of whatever it is that is holding you back from getting on with your life, and receiving Gods' goodness. The only one stopping you, is YOU! It's time to grow up, take accountability, and live the way God wants us to. Live a good life, help others, and pray everyday.
Life is awesome, once you look at with a clear mind and soul.
All of you are always in my prayers, but you have to first be in yours.
I will be posting more often from now on, and I sure would like to see some more followers. If you have any stories about Gods' work in your own life, please share them with me.

The Good News!
Hey, everybody! I know it's been awhile since my last post, but good things come to those who wait.
I'vve been a little busy, with life in general. I had an accident at home, and I've been out of work since last Wednesday. Unfortunately, I like so many others, have a problem taking my own advice.
I let myself get a little down, and kept everything, to myself. Which got me absolutely nowhere!
Anyway, I have been working, over the past few days, to get back to where I was at, before.
I even kept my grandsons, Austin and Gabe, for the weekend. Wow! Again, let me tell you how GREAT it is, that my baby is 16! I love being a grandma, but they are exhausting!
I am expecting my test results today, which will tell me where I go from here. I have been having one of my "feeling," moments again. The feeling that I'm not doing what God intended for me to do.
Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy working in retail, but there just has to be more. I know that helping others and writing are in my future, somehow. Whether my writing helps others, or I help others, and write about it. The two are somehow intertwined.
So, I got up today, and decided that, my thoughts will stay positive. I will think only positive thoughts, and look at my future with only optimism. Knowing I can do all the good that I possibly can, for all the people I can. God knows, we all need that!
Even though this post maybe short, I hope it touches at least one of you. And, I will be back soon, with,"The Good News!"

The Good News!
Wow! I didn't realize that it had been so long, since my last entry. Time goes faster, the older we get.
Anyway, hi everybody! I hope life has been treating you well. Life is going well for those of us out on the coast. The weather is pretty average for SC weather. Hot and a chance of rain everyday.
The tourists are rolling into town a little slower, but they're still coming. I really enjoy meeting new people, and I have the good fortune of meeting quite a few people, from IL. It's nice to talk to someone from there, every once in awhile.
But, I definitely know, I am exactly where God wants me to be. He brings different people into my life, that in one way or another, need my help.
At my job, which most of you know, is a new Walmart, in Carolina Forest. We just had our Grand Opening on June 17th, and it was really awesome, knowing that our hard work finally paid off. The store looks really good, and the customers were very impressed.
This is one of the ways that God provided me with so that I could help other people. Whether it's just showing them where somethings are at, in our store, or helping them in some other way, this is my purpose in life. I truly enjoy people. I've never met anyone that I don't have the patience for.
We all need to watch for those people that come into our lives. They were put there for a reason. Good or not so good, there is always a reason. Don't be in such a hurry, that you miss the importance of the little things that happen in your life.
People joke with me all the time about having OCD. Some may take that as an insult, but not me. I take everything that I do to heart. I may not succeed at every endeavor, but I try my best. I know that I don't have to be anything to anyone; I just have to be me.
I've made some great friends, at my job, in the past few weeks. We kind of compliment each other, so it works out well.
Life's challenges continue to flow in and out of my life, but I know with Gods' help, I can do all things. And I know, that when life starts getting to me, it's because I'm using my power, and not His. So I stop, pray, and listen for a response. Works every time!
Do you know your purpose in life? If not, ask God. If you do it with an open mind, you can find your true purpose. And you'll know when your at that point, because everything will suddenly make sense.
I hope life treats you well. And until next time, may God bless you, the way He has me. Take care, and I'll talk to you all very soon!

The Good News!
Hey, everybody! It's been 2 weeks since my last posting, and maybe you all are wondering what's been going on. Well, it's been a very, very busy few weeks.
You know how you pray and pray for something, and it seems like maybe God isn't listening?
He's listening! But He has to get everything lined up for the blessings we've asked for and then some.
I told you all in my last entry, about my new job. I started this past Tuesday, and I am EXHAUSTED!!!
Working 3rd shift at my age isn't easy. Fortunately, it's only temporary. I expect to be back in the real world, soon.
We also just celebrated Codys' 16th birthday. Can you believe my baby is 16! Where does the time go?
I was a little bummed out when I was getting ready for his party, but that changed really fast.
Lacey got sick, the day before his birthday, so I kept Austin and Gabe. Before long, I was rejoicing in the fast that Cody was turning 16. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore my grandkids. But there is definitely a reason why God blessed me with my kids when I was younger.
Patience, is not one of my virtues!
In the past week I also decided to get on Facebook to see what all the buzz was about. I can't believe how many people I have found, and ones that have found me.
I never realized how much I missed some of them. It's been so long since I've even thought about a few of them, while others I've thought about often.
I hope I can stay in touch with some of them, and who knows, maybe they'll even become a follower of my blog?
I will try to keep posting once a week, but right now, I can't even keep track of what day it is, so you'll have to cut me some slack.
I hope you all stop, and look at the blessings we're given everyday. It would be a shame if you missed even the smallest ones.
Have a great week, and I will talk to you all soon!

The Good News!
Good morning, everybody! What a wonderful day we are having, out here, on the East Coast. Temperatures are warm, and we have thunderstorms moving through the area. You all know how much I love my thunderstorms.
The rain is a gift from God, so I can deal with oher things, besides my plants and flowers. Believe it or not, I actually have managed to keep some of them alive. Thanks, Lynn.
As expected, things are continuing to go well, for those of us in Conway, SC. We all have our moments. But it just takes us, stepping back from whatever is going on, to see that there is a lesson in there somewhere.
It's funny, because when one of us starts freaking out about life in general, there's always someone to remind us that everything will work out. Maybe not the way we want it to, but the way it should be.
And with every passing day, it gets easier and easier, to stay positive. Life is good. I have to say that I have never felt as much at peace, as I do now.
Sometimes when you stop and really take a look at your life, the blessings overwhelm you. We just need to take the time to enjoy and live our lives. Existing is not enough!
Go doesn't want us to exist, He wants us to live and rejoice. Absorb the awesome things that nature brings us everyday. Smell the air, the flowers, the rain. There is an endless supply of it for all of us.
No one can ever say, that they have had one day, where there wasn't anything to be thankful for.
I am always reminded of this, when I take Gabe and Austin out in public. They are both so easy to please. Gabe is so funny to listen to. I have him brainwashed about the #24. So now whenever he sees it, he knows it's Jeff Gordons' number. He even watches the races.
Seeing the world through their eyes, makes everything so much easier to deal with.
We all need to remember what it was like to be young and actually believe in something.
Try to go out into the world, with the eyes and ears of a child. What a refreshing change it is.
Life is what you make it.
I'm going to end for now, so I can do just that. Today, I'm leaving you with a quote I found.
"We are what we think. All that we are arises from our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world." Buddha
Hope you all have a good day! Talk to you soon.

The Good News!
Hey everybody! What a great day it is, out here on the coast. Sun shining, warm temperatures, and another chance to live!
As most of you know, we have a major fire going on out here. They say it's the worst one in over 3 decades. The last estimate I heard was 16 million in damages.
And here is the reason that I started this newsletter. No injuries or deaths. That's " The Good News!" And " The God News," part of it, is that within 2 weeks, the trees that are blackened, will have small green sprouts of life. How amazing is that? Even the trees get another chance to live.
When I finally heard about the fire, I instantly got sick to my stomach. I personally know a lot of the EMT's, the County and City Officers, our Fire Chief, and most of the Horry County, and Conway Firefighters. I know their wives and kids, and how completely AWESOME, these guys are! They all worked , and are still working to put out the fire.
It is 100% contained, but without some rain, it could flare back up at anytime. But, we also got assistance from NC, GA, and the surrounding community Depts. And the outpouring of food, clothing, shelter, and even shelter for animals from the Vet Clinics, has been comforting to see.
God doesn't cause tragedies, but He definitely uses them to teach us.
Maybe today is the day you decide to listen and do something for someone else.
Instead of just forwarding e-mails, that originated from someone you don't even know, add a little note to it, to show someone, that you are especially thinking about them. Even as I'm typing this, I have no idea what's coming next, but I do have at least one of you that's reading this, in mind. The reason I don't use your name, is because I don't want to hurt your feelings, or embarrass you. That's not my intention at all.
There are messages that God tries to get to us everyday. When's the last time that you stopped, and really received it?
We all have the ability to control our destiny. The power of thinging only positive thoughts, maybe difficult sometimes, but it is possible. We choose who or what enters our life.
I had an MP3 download, by a man called, Antonio Thornton. It was a brief version of his take on , "The Law of Attraction." And one of the things he mentions, is how you can determine a lot, by looking at the 5 people, that are closest to you. Your financial circumstances, and your ability to live a positive life, were just 2 of them.
I mean, seriously, that should be a, "Here's your sign," moment. If you have 5 negative, and broke, peolple influencing your day-to-day life, how do you think your life would be affected?
The hardest thing, is when these people are your family or maybe even your significant other. Do you subject yourself to them, because you think you have to?
Well, let me be the first one to tell you, that you need to put some distance between you and any source of negativity, that comes your way. It's not going to be permanent. I actually had to do that with my own kids.
Lacey didn't live with me, and Megan doesn't live here, but Jeremy and Cody do. And although I still have to remind the boys, it gets easier everyday, and I can definitely see the change in them.
I love all of my kids the same, and as a mother, I always will. But I am not their friend , I am their mother. When I say," If you don't have anything positive to say, I don't want to hear it," they better listen. It's not disrespectful or mean.
This is the way I choose to live my life today. And, I refuse to go down the "what if, or why didn't you," road anymore.
We have this moment to live the right way. We are never guaranteed the next moment.
Any of you that know me, know how negative my life has been. But, I never realized just how exhausting it was to live like that. I still have my moments, but they only last as long, as I CHOOSE, to let them. It's a conscious choice we all have to make.
So, this week, I hope at least one of you, has your ,"AHA moment." And as always, I will be thinking about, and praying for you all.
Hope you all have a very blessed moment! Talk to you soon.

The Good News!: My Miracle!
Good morning everybody! As you all can see, my blog today, has a title. It's a story, of how I prayed for a miracle, and when it happened, it completely blew me away!
A few days ago, I was feeling pretty discouraged about things that were happening, to other people, that I thought should be happening to me. I caught myself getting angry, and fortunately, have become aware enough of my feelings and thoughts, that I stopped them from spinning out of control.
So I let my boys know, that I didn't want to be bothered, for any reason. Then, I turned on my MP3 player, and turned the volume way up! I started to really think through my feelings, and quickly went from anger, to action. I knew there was a reason that things were happening the way they were. And, that there was something, that I was doing, that was stopping them from happening to me.
This is where, God, The Secret, The Law of Attraction, and the many other resources I have tapped into, all came together.
This would be where, God and I had a personal chat, which we do quite often. I asked for a miracle that would directly affect me. See, you really have to be specific, on what you ask for, because the last miracle, I asked for, was answered by "The Miracle On The Hudson." I'm not complaining at all, but you see what I mean, about being specific.
Anyway, after the chat, I knew that I had to watch for signs, or nagging feelings, that were used to show me where a certain action, on my part, was needed.
In 2 days, I was led to updating some online job applications that I update, about every 60 days.
The first one was for Walmart. As I scanned through, to see what might have changed, I got to my references. One of which, was someone that I had let stay with me for a few months. Only to find out that she was some relation to Lucifer. And believe me, that is NOT meant to be funny!
So I quickly changed that information. And then it happened! The miracle I asked for PLUS, so much more!!!!
I got a call from Walmart, for an interview, the next day. They are in the process of building a new one in Carolina Forest, which will be opening in June.
After almost 3 hours, and 4 interviews,I was made a job offer. This is where it gets really good.
The offer was for a fulltime position, overnight stocking, 34-40 hrs. a week, $8.70 an hr.
I was soo excited, I wanted to scream! But I calmly walked to my car, thanking God, and my angels. And on the way home I thanked Him many, many more times.
I am still just shocked at how fast it happened. But things like this can happen to anybody, who is willing to control their own thoughts and reactions to any circumstances. You just have to watch for the feelings and signs along the way. Ask, believe, receive!
You can do anything, and be anything you want.
Life is GREAT, but only if you live it!!!!!!
I hope my story inspires one of you to take action in your life.
I'll continue to pray for you all. Hope you have a great weekend! Talk to you all very soon.

The Good News!
Hey everyone! Hope you are all having a good week, so far.
I waited until now, so I could type in peace. Cody is in bed, as he usually is, by this time, and Jeremy is in the shower. So this is my hour of alone time before I go to bed. That is, if my cat leaves me alone.
Anyway, I have to tell you all, about 2 new songs, I just heard, this past week. Both of them are songs on the new Rascal Flatts CD. The first one is "Unstoppable," and the other is "Things That Matter."
If you listen to everyword of these songs, you will be amazed at the message you get from them. And, as many times as I've listened to them, I still hear something different, everytime I listen to them again.
Isn't it funny, how you can read something. or hear something, and it applies to whatever may be going on in your life, as well as what may be going on in someone elses' life? It's all a matter of how we interpret the words.
I remember the church that my kids and I went to, in Champaign. The message our Pastor would preach on Sunday, hit home with not only my family, but everyone in the congregation.
That, is why God made us all different! We can do anything, be anything, and dream anything that we want.
I personally, like to analyze everything. Many times, that may be my downfall, but I'm quite curious about life in general.
I am inspired by music, books, and people I may encounter in my journey through this world.
I spend more time laughing now, than I ever have before. At least once a day, I have one of those moments, that cause me to go, okay, I get it now. Then I smile, and watch for the next one.
The best part, though, has got to be the fact, that the past gets a little further away, everyday. And let me tell you, living for today, is pretty cool!
If you all haven't been doing any reading, "The Secret," is still a must read, and "The Secret of Letting Go," by Guy Finley, is a good one too.
If you're happy with your life, congratulations! If not, start doing something about it.
In my life alone, I've personally seen miracles happen, and had God speak to me.It's not the earth shaking, or an awe inspiring event, unless that's what you asked for. Sometimes it's just a quiet, unmistakeable feeling or event, that gets your attention, just enough, so that you know it was meant for you.
It's been awhile, since I've watched the news, and quite honestly, it is so much eaier to talk to God, without all the depressing stuff that's on TV. And I haven't suffered one bit by NOT watching it either. Last time I checked, the world is still revolving.
So I have a challenge for all of you. For one week, don't watch any news coverage, of anything. You know what channels have the news, in your area. No news on the radio either, or the newspaper.
Read a good book, listen to your favorite music, TALK to your family, and if anyone tries to talk about anything negative, tell them that, if they don't have anything positive to say, you don't want to hear it.
I promise you, you will be amazed, at how easy it is, even after the first day. We all control whatever comes into our life. So if you only want positive, you can have it.
It will change your life!! And your life is worth it.
I'll be in touch with some of you before next week, but take my challenge and let me know how it goes for you. Any feedback is welcome.
Talk to you all soon!

The Good News!
Hi everybody! Hope your day is starting out well. The weather out here is beautiful today!
I am sitting here, drinking my coffee, getting ready to go out and conquer the world. I can't do that without ALOT of coffee!
Anyway, this week, I have been praying a lot, for guidance. I have these periods in my life, as everyone does, that I just feel like I'm on the wrong path. The way to tell when you are experiencing this is, nothing you do or say seems right. Where you go even seems wrong.
All this means is, at some point, you made a wrong choice. Whether it was being exposed to someone who was negative, or not calling someone that yoiu felt like you needed to talk to.
Quite often, it's something so subtle, that you probably just missed it.
That is why we have to be completely aware, and in control, of our thoughts. Somewhere along the way, we let our attention go to off track. In this instance, I probably thought I could help someone that has no desire to be happy, or overcome the obstacles in their life.
All that does is open up the dam of negativity, which then floods your life.
I know 4 people, that I care aboout, are all suffering from the same thing, right now. They all accepted, Jesus Christ, as their Savior, and have since, turned their back on Him. They are blaming their past, their families, their addictions, and whatever else they can think of, instead of realizing, they are only hurting themselves.
The only way other people can hurt us, is if We give them the power to!
For so many years, I lived like that. One day, I realized that the people I felt had caused all of my problems, had moved on in this world, and were living their lives.
I had to pick myself up, putting the past where it belongs, and start LIVING, instead of just existing. And if I can do that, anybody can!
It may be hard at first. But it takes more energy to feel sorry for yourself, than it does to feel blessed. It's never too late to change.
So don't waste another minute of the life that God has given you. He is just waiting for you to stop hurting yourself.
My favorite thing to say about people, who have done something wrong to me or my family is,
" The Lords' vengeance, is far greater than mine. " Then I smile and walk away, because that's what He wants me to do.
So to the 4 of you that I am referring to, you need to know that, by doing nothing, you have let another person, have the satisfaction, of winning. And as long as you do nothing, they will continue to win.
Gods' blessing waits for you everyday. If you are reading this, then He gave you another day and another chance to LIVE!!!!
And with that, I am going to go now and do just that. Just for today, I choose to live my life to the fullest, and let go and let God, deal with my enemies. They will not beat me!
All of you are in my prayers!! will speak to you soon!

The Good News!
Hi everybody! Sorry about being a day late, but my computer has been acting up for awhile, so I spent the past 2 days, scanning everything! You've got to love modern technology.
Anyway, today is my grandson, Austins', 7th birthday! Feeling old fades quickly, and feeling blessed overwhelms me.
God gave me 1 more day, and 1 more chance, to live, to breathe, and to be humbled by life. And if you are reading this, He gave the same to you.
I took off this morning, for one of my many, purpose seeking drives. I do this when I feel like I'm missing something, in my daily, God given mission. I head towards Myrtle Beach, with my windows rolled down. I breathe as much of the ocean air, that I can. I inhale any positives, and I exhale all negatives. This is something that has to be done, by everybody.
This is possible for all of you.
We all have to be grateful for what we have now. Only then can we ask for more.
The key to gratitude, is that you have to be grateful for EVERYTHING!! The good things are not the only ones that you should be grateful for. Except, and be even more grateful, for the tough times.
We are able to be happy, faithful, and blessed, through it all.
If everyone would tell themselves that, hiding from who they really are, does nothing but create more pain and more loneliness, their lives would be totally transformed.
Regardless of your life, right now, it's never too late, to change. You can start today!
Don't waste another second! Make the right choice for you, and when your kids or grand kids see the positive way you're living your life, they will begin to do the same.
These are the kind of habits you WANT them to learn from you.
And PLEASE, don't pay any attention, to the genetic links , or the statistics, that say you or your life, are going to be a certain way.
Your life, can be whatever you want it to be. The only thing stopping you, is you.
Do something today, for someone else. You will feel great!
I will be talking to some of you very soon. The rest of you, take care!
See you next week!
